ALBION W. MORTON
DETROIT-Albion W. Morton, 90, died July 17, 2009 at a Hartland nursing home. He was born January 29, 1919 in Detroit a son of Harold and Myrtle (Raynes) Morton. He attended Newport High School and worked many years as a loom fixer and weaver at American Woolen Mills in Pittsfield and Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna. He was a member of Detroit United Methodist Church, the Grange, Odd Fellows, and Masons.

He is survived by a son David of Falmouth; a daughter Sonia Staples of Pittsfield; a sister, Ruth Wright of Pittsfield; 4 grandchildren, Susan, Beth, Kyler and Kaelynn; and a brother in law, Raymond Amsden of Newport.

Albion was predeceased by his wife, Isabel (Amsden) Morton, on August 18, 1995; a daughter Donna; and brother Ralph.
