ANNETTE LOUISE FOLSOM
GARLAND- Annette Louise Folsom, 71, died May 20, 2011, at a Hartland health care facility. She was born June 30, 1939, daughter of George and Addie (Norton) Jackson.

She worked for several years at Dexter Shoe Company in Dexter. Because of her love for animals especially birds, she was known as the “Bird Lady”. She also owned and operated Annette’s Bakery in Newport for a few years.

She is survived by a son, Thomas Sawyer and his wife, Karen of Ellsworth; a daughter, Teresa Richards and her husband, Keith Sr. of Garland; a sister, Elizabeth Dyer of Glenburn; 5 grandchildren, Sarah Babcock and her husband, Donald of Kenduskeag, Faith Richards of Hampden, and Keith Richards Jr., and his wife, Amber of Garland, Isaiah Albert of Ellsworth and Jared Tucker and his wife, Dana of Acton, MA; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 2:30 PM, Sunday, May 29th, at the Kenduskeag Union Church, with Pastor Ruth Guerette officiating. In lieu of flowers, those wish, may make donations to the American Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
