ANNETTE W. WEBBER
GARLAND - Annette W. Webber, 86, wife of the late Gordon I. Webber, died unexpectedly Feb. 15, 2009, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Feb. 13, 1923, in Hampden, the daughter of Thurston and Helen (Chandler) Wiggin. She was a graduate of East Corinth Academy and Beal Business College. She devoted her life to her husband and sons, and having visits from family and friends. Visitors rarely left Annette and Gordon's house empty handed. Annette loved bird watching, nature, books, history and growing beautiful flower gardens. She never lost the art of letter writing.

She is survived by three sons and their wives, Michael and Sharon Eaton of Corinth, Lawrence "Pat" and Cathy Webber of Carmel, and Bruce and Joanne Webber of Oakland; grandchildren, Keven Eaton and his wife, Sue, of Garland, Greta Courtright and her husband, Steve, of Norfolk, Va., Aaron Webber of New York City, Adam Bemis of San Francisco, Kyle Webber of wife, Britta, of Darmstadt, Germany, Aleisha Bemis of Boston, Ryan Webber of Falmouth, Mass., and Ashley Webber of Carmel; great-grandchildren, Conor Eaton and Bronwynn Eaton, both and Garland and Colten Courtright of Norfolk, Va.; a sister, Elizabeth Vigue of Corinth; a brother, Richard Wiggin and his wife, Marlene, of Bangor; several nieces and nephews. Annette was predeceased by a sister, Rachel Merrill; and her brothers, Carleton and Floyd Wiggin. The family recognizes and appreciates the love and support she received from her great-niece, Nicki Wing; and her friend, Diana Weinstein of Garland.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Garland Community Baptist Church with Pastor Barry Buzzell officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to join them at the church for a time of remembrance and refreshment after the service.
