ARLENE V. FOWLER
HARTLAND—Arlene V. Fowler, 90, passed away September 8, 2011 at a Pittsfield health care facility. She was born June 27, 1921 in Brewer a daughter of Vasco and Madelene (Burrill) Carter. She graduated from Ellsworth High School, Class of 1939. Arlene was a life member and past worthy matron of OES, and was also a member of the Grange.

She is survived by 4 children, Elaine DeBarros, Carolyn Kurcaba, June Vicnaire, and Bruce Fowler; 2 sisters, Althea and husband Hubert Burks and Nancy Shaw; 2 sisters-in-law, Edrie and Marise Carter; 8 grandchildren; several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Daniel and Richard Carter; and a brother-in-law, Warren Shaw.

There will be no services at this time. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to a children’s charity of one’s choice.
