ARLIN L. THACKERY
WILLIMANTIC, Arlin L. Thackery, 68, died unexpectedly May 6, 2001 at his home in Willimantic. He was born Jan. 26, 1933, in Jackson Township, Ohio, son of Hobert and Anna (Davis) Thackery. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and then worked all his life as a mechanic. He was a member of the Willimantic Community Chapel. He loved hunting and fishing and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Pearl (Watkins) Thackery of Willimantic; five daughters, Robin Rattigan of Bangor, Sarah and her husband, James Sill of Parkman, Joyce Burton of Willimantic, Patricia and her husband Alex Preble and Kathy and her husband Jared Panciera of Abbot; a son and his wife, James and Mary Thackery of Sangerville; a sister and her husband, Eileen and James Marchal; and two brothers, Richard Thackery and Ivan Thackery and his wife Linda all of St. Paris, Ohio; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wed., May 9, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 21 Oak St., Guilford. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Lloyd Rozelle officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Willimantic.
