AUDREY HOXIE WALKER
CORINTH - Audrey Hoxie Walker, 76, died June 5, 2002, at Bangor, after a long illness. She was born Nov. 20, 1925, in Orneville, the daughter of Richard and Catherine (Rolfe) Hoxie. She was a graduate of Milo High School, Class of 1943, and attended Simmons College in Boston, Mass. She will be remembered as a loving, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the United Methodist Women and Silver Leaf Chapter, Order of the Easter Star, where she served as Chaplain and was a Past Worthy Matron. Audrey was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Albert W. Walker in 2001; a son, William Hardy Walker in 1997; four brothers, William, Vaden, Sylvanus and Feldon Hoxie; and three sisters, Vera Megquier, Avanelle Lyford and Arzelle Littlefield.

She is survived by three daughters, Carol Ann Walker of Bangor, Eloise Mooers and her husband, Ralph of Exeter and Catherine Thibodeau and her husband, David of Islesboro; two sisters, Shirley Rhoda of Milo and Evelyn Taylor of Dover-Foxcroft; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Rd., Corinth, 1-2 p.m. Friday, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m., with the Rev. David Bean officiating.
