BARBARA M. PATTEN
ST. ALBANS, Barbara M. Patten, 76, died June 15, 2002 at her home in St. Albans. She was born November 20, 1925, in St. Albans, daughter of Dana and Marjorie (Green) Martin. She graduated from Hartland Academy, valedictorian of the class of 1943 and then attended Husson College. She served as Town Clerk of St. Albans for 20 years and was employed by the Hartland- St. Albans Telephone Company. She then received her training to become an LPN at Kennebec Valley Technical School and worked at Reddington-Fairview Hospital. She later worked as evening charge nurse at Sanfield Nursing Home in Hartland.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Edward J. Patten of St. Albans; a son, Eric Patten of Baltimore, Maryland; 2 daughters, Linda Cowan of Garland and Beatrice and her husband, Robert Rosen of Atkinson, New Hampshire; a sister, Geraldine Cole of Hartland; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tuesday June 18, at the St. Albans Union Church in St. Albans, with Pastor Jamie Cahill officiating. Burial will be in the St. Albans Village Cemetery.
