BERNARD EVERETT ALDEN JR
DOVER-FOXCROFT - Bernard Everett Alden Jr., 80, husband of Myrna L. (Spaulding) Alden, died un-expectedly May 14, 2001, in Bowerbank. He was born Oct. 31, 1920, in Foxcroft, the son of Bernard Sr. and Katheryn (Ireland) Alden. Barney loved the outdoors, spending many hours hunting, fishing and cutting wood. He was employed by Central Maine Power Co. for many years. A World War II U.S. Army veteran, he was a member of Mosaic Masonic Lodge No. 52 AF & AM.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Myrna of Dover-Foxcroft; a brother, John W. Alden of Pittsfield; a sister, Rachel Alden of Bangor; a daughter, Pamela K. Alden of Spokane, Wash.; three stepsons, Timothy A. Dunn and Jeffrey K. Dunn, both of Saco, Christopher M. Dunn of Merrimack, N.H.; a stepdaughter, Karen Dunn Fraser of Kennebunk. Barney was greatly loved by his three daughters-in-law, his son-in-law, 11 grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.

Services will be private. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis, care of John Cushing, 9 Mechanic St., Dover-Foxcroft 04426. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
