BEVERLEY A. ASHLEY
DEXTER - Beverley Ashley, 56, died Nov. 13, 2009, at the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville, Va., after losing her battle with cancer. She was born Sept. 10, 1953, in Hyannis, Mass., a daughter of Edwin and Rhea (Nolin) Chase. She graduated from Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School, South Yarmouth, Mass., Class of 1971, and Cape Cod Community College, Hyannis, Mass., Class of 1973. She retired as cash office manager for Stop 'n Shop supermarkets after 35 years. In 2006 she and her husband moved to Dexter. She was a member of Dexter Women's Literary Club and was a communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Dexter.

Beverley is survived by her husband, Charles of Dexter; two brothers, Mark and wife, Susan Chase, of LaPlata, Md., and John and wife, Judy Chase Sr., of Agawam, Mass.; a sister, Mary and husband, Thomas Bartley Sr., of Chicopee, Mass.; one niece and five nephews. Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main St., Dexter. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at St. Anne's Church, Dexter, with the Rev. Mark Nolette officiating. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
