BRENDA L. WELCH
STETSON – Brenda L. Welch, 43, died unexpectedly August 15, 2005 in a traffic accident near her home on Lakins Road in Stetson. She was born November 12, 1961 at Bangor a daughter of Nancy and her beloved stepfather Linwood “Woody” Clark. Brenda graduated from Nokomis Regional High, Class of 1979, and married Jeffrey E. Welch on November 27, 1980. She had been employed as a project facilitator with the Maine Department of Transportation for the last 20 years and was especially proud to represent her fellow employees as a union steward for the Maine State Employee’s Association for 10 years. She was respected and proud. She knew who she was and everyone who knew her knew that. Brenda loved life, her car and her family, which meant more than anything else in the world to her. She also loved the beach and the sun, recently spending a number of days each month this summer at Old Orchard Beach with her daughter Nikki. She also enjoyed her ceramics class with Ina Jarvis in Carmel for the past 23 years.

In addition to her husband of Stetson, Brenda is survived by her daughter, Nikki of Stetson; 4 brothers, James Robinson and friend Leitha of Levant, Wayne Archie and friend Lisa of Millinocket, Michael Betts and wife Barbara of Newburg, and Angus Clark of Kenduskeag; 2 sisters, Pamela Bickford of Kenduskeag and Valerie Dunton and husband Michael of Florida; many nieces and nephews; and her canine companion Pheobe. Brenda will also be deeply missed by Cecil, Bonnie, Stephanie, Deven and Cecil Scott IV “Fivey”.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport, where funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday, August 19th, with Pastor Al H. Worden officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Good Samaritan Agency, 100 Ridgewood Drive, Bangor, ME 04401. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.

If I could have one more moment in life with you I would tell you I love you, and that you meant the world to me. You will never be forgotten.
