C. BLANCHE (DAY) METIVIER
NORTH NEWPORT C. Blanche (Day) Metivier, 89, died January 17, 2002 at a Dexter healthcare facility. She was born May 7, 1912 at Mapleton the daughter of Charles and Dolly (Pendexter) Day. Blanche was a member of the Corinna United Methodist Church and was actively involved with Hospital Chaplaincy of Hampden. She worked with her husband for many years on the family farm on the Prilay Road in North Newport. She was also employed at Dexter Shoe Company and Snowflake Canning Company in Corinna. She was predeceased by her husband Everett on July 9, 1990.

She is survived by 3 sons, George and wife Betty Metivier, Richard and wife Virginia Metivier all of Newport, Peter and Carol Metivier of Corinna; 2 daughters, Peggy and husband Reginald Mossey of Dexter, and Kathleen Moulton of Guilford; a sister, Bertha and husband Fred Hill of Corinna; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren.

Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Sunday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna. Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Monday, January 21st, at the Corinna United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dianne Danielson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Maine Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, 163 Lancaster Street, Suite 160B, Portland, ME 04101. Burial will be in Corinna Village Cemetery in the spring.
