CATHERINE LOUISE HARTWELL She found her love for animals and spent countless hours caring for her sheep and young heifers. Kay was a serious fisherman, and prided herself with always bringing home the biggest catch. Her greatest joy was supporting her grandchildren in their activities, especially watching horse shows. Kay will be often thought of on cold winter nights when friends and family snuggle in her handmade afghans. She is survived by two daughters, Janice Hartwell of Rye, NH and Judy Biggar and son in law, John of Stetson; two grandchildren, Chad Marin of San Rafael, CA and Nicole Day of Exeter. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Henry, whom she worked alongside on the family farm. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1 Bowdoin Mill Island, Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
