CELIA E. EKHOLM
BROWNVILLE - Celia E. Ekholm, 94, wife of the late Conrad W. Ekholm, went to be with the Lord June 5, 2002, at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home, after a short illness. She was born Sept. 1, 1907, in Old Town, the daughter of Harry L. and Grace (Noble) Hatch. Celia had lived in many towns, from Millinocket to Portland, and also in Massachusetts and New York. She attended the Sebec Corner Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, John Ekholm and his wife, Teresa of Brownville Junction and David Ekholm of Brownville; a daughter, Avis Earley and her husband, Charles of Front Royal, Va.; a sister, Dorothy Cyr of Alexandria, Va.; 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Conrad Jr. and Peter, and three sisters.

Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2002, at the Lary Funeral Home, Milo, where funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, with Pastor Isaiah Hill officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in Brownville Village Cemetery.
