CHARLES "CHUCK" L. BURGESS
GARLAND AND GUILFORD- Charles "Chuck" L. Burgess, 58, died February 25, 2010, at his home in Garland. He was born September 25, 1951, in Dover-Foxcroft, son of Glen and Loraine (Lewis) Burgess.

He graduated from PCHS in Guilford, class of 1969. Chuck worked for Guilford Industries for over 30 years. He retired in 2006 and worked with his partner, Susan Watson on their farm, Midsummer Night's Meadow Farm, raising sheep. Chuck also enjoyed raising a flock of pet Rhode Island Red laying hens. He looked forward to picking fiddle heads in the spring in Abbot, along with his dog Maggie. Later in the summer, his weekends were taken up with art festivals and traveling throughout Maine.

He is survived by his partner, Susan Watson of Garland; a son, Shawn Burgess of Brewer; a daughter, Katrina O' Donnell and her husband, Joseph and their children, Dylan, Nicholas, Sophia, and Chloe, all of Dover-Foxcroft; a brother, Eric Burgess and his wife, Darlene of Guilford; several nieces and nephews; Sue's children, Sarah Sinclair, and Winston Sinclair. He is also survived by his faithful dog, Maggie.

He was predeceased by his parents, and his brother, Michael.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Monday, March 1, 2010, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak Street in Guilford. Spring burial will be in the Guilford Center Cemetery.
