CHARLES WESLEY GILLETT, SR. He graduated from high school, served in the U. S. Army, and worked as a lobsterman for many years; and later, for Ellis Paperboard in Scarborough. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved boats, hunting and fishing. He is survived by a son, Charles Gillett Jr. and his wife, Diane of Pittsfield; a daughter, Karen Mulkern and her husband, Frank of NH; 5 brothers, Henry, David, Royden, Walter and Hilding; 3 sisters, Ethel, Jean and Pearl, all of Canada; 2 granddaughters, Rita Gillett of Biddeford, and Heather Gillett of Newport; a great grandson, Aiden Lorentsen of Canaan; many nieces and nephews; and his best friend, his dog, Chubba; and his cat, Kitty. A memorial service will be held 1 PM Saturday, November 6th, at the Getchell Street Baptist Church in Waterville. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
