OBITUARIES

CHARLES WESLEY GILLETT, SR.
Charles Gillett Sr ST. ALBANS- Charles Wesley Gillett Sr., 83, died October 22, 2010, at his home in St. Albans. He was born September 3, 1927, in Danforth, a son of John and Wilhelmina (Hooper) Guillett.

He graduated from high school, served in the U. S. Army, and worked as a lobsterman for many years; and later, for Ellis Paperboard in Scarborough. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved boats, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by a son, Charles Gillett Jr. and his wife, Diane of Pittsfield; a daughter, Karen Mulkern and her husband, Frank of NH; 5 brothers, Henry, David, Royden, Walter and Hilding; 3 sisters, Ethel, Jean and Pearl, all of Canada; 2 granddaughters, Rita Gillett of Biddeford, and Heather Gillett of Newport; a great grandson, Aiden Lorentsen of Canaan; many nieces and nephews; and his best friend, his dog, Chubba; and his cat, Kitty.

A memorial service will be held 1 PM Saturday, November 6th, at the Getchell Street Baptist Church in Waterville. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport. Those who wish may leave written condolences at www.CrosbyNeal.com.
