OBITUARIES

CLAYTON A. CARR
DEXTER- Clayton A. Carr, 83 died June 18, 2011, at Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. He was born in Dexter, April 26, 1928, son of Maurice and Jessie (Page) Carr.

He worked for Fay Scott Landis Machine Shop in Dexter for 25 years, and later for St. Regis Paper Company in Bucksport, retiring from Champeon Paper Company. He was a long time member of the Penobscot Masonic Lodge in Dexter.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marian (Woodward) Carr of Dexter; 2 sons, Lawrence Carr and his wife, Peggy of Livermore, and Gary Carr and his wife, Phyllis of Baileyville; a daughter, Dawn Marsh and her husband, David of Parkman; 4 grandchildren; Jason Carr, Mark Carr, and Matthew Carr, and Carl Marsh; 7 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Charlene “Kitty” Bretton and her husband, Norman “Mike” of Dexter, and Helen LaCasse of FL; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Peter Marsh; and 4 brothers, Louis, Merle, Dennis, and Albert.

There will be no public visitation. Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal, Dexter. For an online guest register, go to www.CrosbyNeal.com.
