CLIFFORD E. DAVIS
ATKINSON - Clifford E. Davis, 70, husband of Betty (Badger) Davis, died Feb. 6, 2002, at a Portland hospital, following heart surgery. He was born Aug. 6, 1931, in Newburgh, the son of Harold and Violet (Leavitt) Davis. A great woods worker, Clifford loved the outdoors, and was an avid camper, fisherman and hunter. He was a self-employed logger for 44 years, and then worked at Pride Manufacturing for five years, retiring at the age of 62.

He is survived by his wife, Betty of Atkinson; two sons, Clifford Jr. and his wife, Sandra of Atkinson, Charles and his wife, Sharon of Charleston; a sister, Iona Walton of Atkinson; four grandchildren, Betty-Jo, Clifford, Violet, and Charles, eight great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed and loved every day by his family and many dear friends.

Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2002, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, where funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002. Spring burial will be in the family lot in Atkinson Corner Cemetery.
