OBITUARIES

CLYDE "BUTCH" ELLIOTT, JR.
ST. ALBANS - Clyde L. Elliott, Jr., 51, died unexpectedly April 5, 2010. He was born November 2, 1958 in Hartland, a son of Clyde and Beverly (Niles) Elliott, Sr. He graduated from Skowhegan High School in 1977 and from the University of Maine Farmington with a Bachelors Degree in Child Development. On February 16, 1980 he married his sweetheart, Betty Smith. Clyde wasemployed at Halycon House for several years and most recently at the Charlotte White Center as an employment specialist. He was president of the Night Drifters Snowmobile Club in Detroit for 2 years. He loved fishing, wrestling and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He had a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed by his family.

In addition to his wife of 30 years, he is survived by 5 wonderful kids, Danielle and husband Maurice Gould of Hartland, Donna and husband Mark Jacques of Skowhegan, Debbie Elliott of Indiana, Destiny Herrera and fiancé Ed Bishop of Augusta, and Ben Elliott and fiancée Kayla Davis of St. Albans; 6 grandchildren, Taylor, Wyntyr, Colby, Kaylee, Cameron, and Mariah; 2 sisters, Donna and husband Raymond Thayer of North Haven and Una and husband Randy Whalen of Skowhegan; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.

Private graveside committal services will be held at the convenience of the family at Fairview Cemetery, Canaan, with Pastor Al Worden officiating. A celebration of life will be held 4 P.M. Saturday, April 10th at the Night Drifters Snowmobile Club in Detroit. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport. Those who wish may leave written tributes at www.CrosbyNeal.com.
