COLLEEN F. BANE
BURNHAM Colleen F. Bane, 53, died February 2, 2002 at a Waterville hospital. She was born August 11, 1948 at Burnham, the daughter of William A. and Phillis M. (Gower) Sidelinger. She attended Burnham schools and graduated from Maine Central Institute, Class of 1966. On October 8, 1966 she married Galen Bane. In 1997, she graduated with honors from the University of Maine at Augusta with a degree in Library Science and worked for SAD 48, retiring due to illness. She enjoyed camping, traveling, working in her flower garden, reading, and especially enjoyed time spent with her 3 granddaughters.

She is survived by her husband, Galen Bane of Burnham; 3 sons, Ellery and wife, Tammy Bane, Clint Bane and companion, Jenny Reed all of Burnham, and Robert Bane and companion, Hillary Cianchette; 3 very special granddaughters, Amanda and Bianca Asaro and Ryanne Bane all of Burnham ; a brother, William and wife, Karen Sidelinger of Winslow; 3 sisters, Kathy and husband, Mitch Morse of Burnham, Linda Sideliner of Vassalboro and Debbie and husband, Michael Brown of Wellington, New Zealand; a very special aunt, Joan Sidelinger of Burnham; her mother-in-law, Winifred Bane of Pittsfield; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Ryan Sidelinger Bane in 1971.

Friends may call 2 to 3 and 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, February 6th at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport, where funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Thursday with Pastor Al H. Worden officiating. Spring burial will be in the family cemetery in Burnham.
