He was a simple man and asked for little in life. There needed to be a jar of peanut butter on the table and a tree to cut. He was a lifelong hunter and excellent marksman. Dan was predeceased by a daughter Jeanie and a sister Leela. He is survived by a son, Scott Henderson and partner Sharon Patterson of Corinna; a daughter, Sally and husband Jerry Sneed of St. Albans; a brother, Byron Henderson of Corinna; 2 sisters, Marie McWilliams of New Kensington, PA and Anna Collins of Denver, CO; 3 grandchildren, Erica Henderson, Jerry D. Sneed, and Casey Lawrence; 2 great grandchildren, Tyler and Sierra Sneed; as well as nieces, nephews, and many friends. His very good friend was Gerald Robertson, with whom he had tea and doughnuts with almost every morning. Friends may call from 2 to 4 PM Sunday, January 23rd, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport. Spring committal services will be held at the family cemetery at the farm in St. Albans.
