DAVID ALLEN PENNEY
PITTSFIELD & PALMYRA – David Allen Penney, 56, died peacefully March 13, 2011 at his home with his family by his side. He was born January 21, 1955 in Hartland, a son of Richard and Carolyn (Dunphy) Penney.

He graduated from Skowhegan High School, Class of 1974. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and working with his honey bees.

David had been a self employed woodsman, and also worked at Irving Tannery and Snowman’s Oil and Soil.

He is survived by his mother, Carolyn M. Penney of Newport; daughter Amanda Penney and her significant other, Frank “Bub” Turner of St. Albans; son David A. Penney II of Bangor; step sons, Daniel Chamberlain and wife Leah of Plymouth, and Dominic and wife Ashley of Roanoke, VA; brother Dale Penney of Pittsfield; sister Diane Barrett of Lewiston; 7 grandchildren; 4 nephews, Seth and Dylan Penney of Pittsfield, Richard and Matthew Barrett of Lewiston; several aunts, uncles and cousins; special friends Bill Preble of Corinth and Joe Gould of Gardiner; as well as his former wives, Ginger Penney of Orrington, and Kristy Penney of Bangor.

He was predeceased by his father Richard Penney.

A memorial service will be held 11 AM Saturday, March 19th, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport with the Rev. Matthew Ward officiating.
