DAVID E. FINNEGAN David died doing what he loved best, piloting his plane. He logged more hours than most, “checking the weather” he would say. His love for Moosehead Lake was apparent and the relationships he made here will keep him in our hearts forever. He was a thrill seeker and lived by the motto, “Been there done that, I’ll have a coke”. He graduated from Reading Memorial High School in 1983. Always there to lend a hand, he owned Dana’s Tree Service in Wilmington, MA and was a licensed electrician. He belonged to the American Pilots Association and the Seaplane Pilots Association. He was also an avid hunter, scuba diver, boater, and snowmobiler. He is survived by his loving wife Carole Bourgeois Finnegan of Woburn, MA and Greenville, ME.; his daughter Teri, and grandson Owen; his parents Richard W. Finnegan and Ellen Folsom Finnegan from Reading, MA. ; his four brothers, Jeffrey, Richard, Kevin, and Christopher; in-laws, Rene and Julie Bourgeois of Woburn, MA; and sister-in-law Monique Bourgeois of Tewksbury, MA; as well as nieces and a nephew. In lieu of flowers, a college fund will be established for his grandson Owen. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, September 24, 2011 from 11 A.M. to 4 P.M. at Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., North Reading, MA, 01864.
