DAVID "SKIP" WOOD He is survived by his step-father, Lermond Mower, Jr. of Clinton; 5 brothers, Ronald Bean of Louisiana, Roland Bean of South Carolina, James Bean of Waterford, Lermond Mower III of Canaan, and Terry Mower of USAF, Ret., South Korea; 4 sisters, Maryann Thibodeau of Waterford, Shirley Thibodeau of California, Sherry Cavanaugh of Benton, and Doris Mower of Clinton; his aunt and uncle, Merle “Bill” and Dorothy Mower of Fairfield. Skip was predeceased by his mother, Mary Mower in 1988; as well as sisters Ethel, Lois, and Sharon; and a brother, Floren, Jr. There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Tuesday at the new chapel of the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta. For those unfamiliar with the new veterans cemetery, or are traveling from the Newport area, the funeral procession will depart for the cemetery at 11:45 AM Tuesday, March 11th from the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport.
