OBITUARIES

DEAN W. OUELLETTE
BANGOR & ST. ALBANS - Dean W. Ouellette, 25, died unexpectedly April 6, 2010 at his residence. He was born February 10, 1985 in Dover, New Hampshire, a son of James Mooney and Donna (Falbo) Ouellette. He graduated from Nokomis Regional High, Class of 2003, where he was captain of the wrestling team. He was also on the track team where he ran relay and threw the javelin. He was also asked to participate in Junior Olympics, receiving two gold medals for javelin: one for Maine and the other for New England. Most recently he played basketball at Eastern Maine Technical College in Bangor. Dean was a communicant of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Pittsfield, where he had served as an altar boy. He served as a Sgt. with the Army 82nd Airbourne Ranger Division out of Ft. Bragg, NC, with a tour of duty in Iraq, and 2 tours in Afghanistan. Dean was in the process of re-enlisting at the time of his death.

He is survived by his mother Donna and step-father, Wesley Booth of St. Albans; 2 sisters, Nicole Ouellette of Dover, NH, and Deanna Mooney of St. Albans; his maternal grandmother, Martha Falbo of St. Albans; 2 uncles, Ronald Falbo of St. Albans and Paul and wife Marsha Falbo of S. Berwick; a step-brother, Robert Booth of Boston, MA; a step-sister, Elizabeth and husband Rick Poulin of N. C.; as well as several cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 A.M. Monday, April 12th at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Detroit Avenue, Pittsfield, with Father Mark Nolette officiating. Friends may call from 9 to 11 A.M. at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport. Burial will be in St. Albans Village Cemetery with military honors.
