DELMAR LINWOOD DOODY
NEWPORT- Delmar Linwood Doody, 79, died November 18, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor. He was born October 1, 1932, in Caribou, son of Lee and Myrtle (Rideout) Doody.

He served in the US Army during the 1950s. Delmar worked in banking for many years retiring as Bank Manager in 1992. He was a communicant of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Pittsfield. Delmar was very active in community affairs and his affiliations were numerous.

He is survived by his wife, Maria (Gillespie) Doody; 6 children, Peter, Darlene, Kevin, Carol, Ricky, and Sue; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother, Don and two sisters, Mabel, and Evelyn.

He was predeceased by his parents; and three brothers, Lee, Vinyl, and Mac.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street in Newport, with the Rev. Fr. Paul Murray officiating. Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery in Newport.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at St. Joseph Hospital for his wonderful care.
