DORIS E. JONES
CORINNA - Doris E. Jones, 91, wife of the late Harold H. Jones, died Feb. 2, 2002, at a Pittsfield hospital, after a short illness. She was born May 29, 1910, in Garland, the daughter of Royal and Myrtie (Coleman) Mace. She was a member of the Pleasant St. Christian Church in Corinna, and had resided here 16 years. She was a former resident of Jay, where she owned and operated Dot's Place general store for 35 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Gloria Moody and her husband, Orrison of Corinna, and JoAnn Lance of Point, Texas; two stepdaughters, Arva Archer and her husband, Waldo of Eddington and Mary Louise (Sue) Michaud of St. Albans; a brother, Guy Mace of Dexter; seven grandchildren, Jonathan D. Moody and his wife, Shelly of Waterville, Miranda J. Moody of Waltham, Mass., Dan. C. Moody and his wife, Joy of Hampden, Henry Lance and his wife, Tara of Corpus Christi, Texas, Karin Wilson and her husband, David of Point, Texas, Anita Kliewer of Texas, Elaine Heath and her husband, Eric of Texas; many great-grandchildren; five nieces, Janice Bullen and her husband, Dana of New Sharon, Marilyn King and her husband, Charles of South Portland, Barbara Sweetser and her husband, Harvey of Bethel, Debbie and Betty; a nephew, Robert Mace and his wife, Doris of Crestview, Fla.; two special sisters-in-law, Edna Mace of Wilton and Sarah Stevens of Bethel. Doris was predeceased by a son, Murray A. Foss; a grandson, Dale O. Moody; and two brothers, Roscoe and Omer Mace.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, at the Pleasant St. Christian Church in Corinna, with the Rev. Edward Jaworski officiating. Friends may call at the church from 1 p.m. until time of services. Spring burial will be in Clarks Hill Cemetery, Stetson.
