DOROTHY L. BRIGGS
DEXTER - Dorothy L. Briggs, 77, died March 21, 2008, at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home. She was born Aug. 20, 1930, in Dexter, a daughter of Earl and Mary (Young) Lincoln. Dot graduated from N.H. Fay High School, Class of 1949. She married John A. Briggs, March 30, 1952. She worked as a florist for 25 years and at Reny's department store for 10 years.

Dot loved her flower gardens and her cats. She was a member of First Universalist Church, Dexter.

She is survived two sons, Daniel and Timothy, both of Dexter; a daughter, Nancy Redman of Dexter; a sister, Marilyn Spencer and brother-in-law, Walter Spencer of Portland; two grandchildren, Forest and wife, Kristen Briggs, of Dexter and Molly Redman of Corinth; three great-grandchildren, Alex and Jillian Briggs and Brianna Packard; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John; a granddaughter, Jennifer; and a sister-in-law, Muriel Haley.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, at Crosby & Neal, Dexter, with Pastor Lois Field officiating. Spring interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
