EDNA A. LACHANCE
GUILFORD, Edna A. LaChance, 86, passed away April 14, 2003, at her home surrounded by her loving friends and family. She was born June 19, 1916 in Guilford daughter of Lester and Maude (Gilman) Priest. For 30 years she and her husband owned and operated the Kirkwood House on Bates Street in Lewiston. After her retirement she lived in Proctor, Vermont, relocating to Glass Hill Road in Guilford in 1980. Edna was an active gardener and enjoyed hunting and fishing and playing Bingo. Her favorite pastime was picking berries.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Wilfred E. LaChance, her longtime companion, Bob Mezetta; brothers, Guy, Hubert, Earl, and Arthur Priest; sisters, Velma Trafton, and Alice Shand. She is survived by a son, Wilbur Priest; beloved grandson, Shane Priest, special nephew and his wife, Wilfred and Lee Priest all of Guilford; special friends, Laura and Joe Auger of Abbot; Martha Engstrom of Dover-Foxcroft; Melissa Thurlow of Parkman; nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

Friends may call 6-8 PM Tuesday April 15, 2003 at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 21 Oak Street, Guilford. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with burial in the St. Peter's & Paul Cemetery in Lewiston.
