EDNA PEARL (SYLVESTER) LEACH
CORINNA & ELLINGTON, CT - Edna Pearl (Sylvester) Leach, 88, beloved mother and friend went to be with her Lord January 8, 2003. She was born December 9, 1914 at Westfield a daughter of Don and Hazel (Beals) Sylvester. Edna's greatest loves were her children, family, friends, and playing the piano by ear. She graduated from Westfield High School and was a member of the Crystal Lake Methodist Church in Ellington, CT, where she lived for 50 years. After the death of her husband Robert, she moved to Corinna to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Paul Brooks.

Edna is survived by her children and their spouses, Robert Jr. and wife Connie of Isleboro; daughters Linda Pisciott and husband John of Stafford Springs, CT, Carol Ann Leach of Old Saybrook, CT, Judith and husband Paul Brooks of Corinna; sons Ronald and wife Patty of Ellington, CT, Daniel and wife Tammy of Willington, CT; a sister, Kathy Perkins and husband Whitney of Rhode Island; and a brother Carroll and wife Marie Sylvester of Mass; 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by 3 brothers, Merton, Kenneth and her twin brother, Edwin "Bud" Sylvester; a granddaughter, Diana Stager and a great grandson, Christopher Stager DuPerry.

Burial will be at the Maple Lane Cemetery, Islesboro, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to their favorite charity. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal Funeral Chapel,Corinna.
