ELEANOR L. BATCHELDER
DEXTER - Eleanor L. Batchelder, 89, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Dexter HealthCare. She was born Jan. 18, 1920, in Dexter, the daughter of Edward and Cora Cogan. Eleanor attended schools in Dexter. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was a local hairdresser for many years. Eleanor enjoyed the Eastern Star. Eleanor followed her husband of 67 years, Charles, who passed Feb. 11, 2009, to everlasting peace. She was also predeceased by her half sister, Beatrice Homestead of Ohio; and her half brother, Robert Thompson of Ohio.

Eleanor is survived by sons, Charles E. Batchelder and his wife, Eloise, of Gardiner and Richard L. Batchelder and his wife, Norma, of Dexter; five adult grandchildren, Ellen Batchelder of Paris, France, Michael Batchelder of Portland, Jessica Belanger of Lancaster, N.H., Jason Batchelder of Dover-Foxcroft and Nancy Batchelder of Dexter; and three great-grandchildren, Viviana Belanger of Lancaster, N.H., Jason Eubanks and Justice Batchelder of Dover-Foxcroft.

A graveside service will be held in the summer at Dexter Cemetery. "May you rest in peace after all these difficult years."
