ELIZABETH A. POOLE
Elizabeth Poole, The Villages, died at the Citrus Health and Rehabilitation Center Friday, October 13, 2006. She was born January 11, 1926 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, to Arthur and Christine Armitage. She moved to Pine Island, FL in 1988 and then to The Villages in 2001. She lived in Keene, NH before moving to Florida. Mrs. Poole attended Lawrence schools and graduated from The Deaconess School of Nursing in Boston, Massachusetts in 1945. She enjoyed ceramics, fishing with her husband, bowling, playing her organ, and spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Keene, NH. She is preceded in death be her sons Carl T. Poole and Douglas A. Poole.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Carroll L. Poole of The Villages; daughters Laurie Keating and husband Tom of Inverness; Tina Whitney and husband David of Sarasota; a son Wayne Poole and wife Kristine of Acworth, Georgia; ten grandchildren, Jason Poole, LasVegas, Nevada; Justin Poole, Omaha Nebraska; Steven and Chris Whitney, Orlando; Jillian Keating, Gainesville; Molly Keating, Colbrook, NH; Andrew and Kelsey Keating, Inverness; Caitlin and Carl Poole, Acworth, GA; three great grandchildren.

Memorial services for Elizabeth will be conducted Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 11a.m., at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home, The Villages. Those who wish may send memorial donations to the United Church of Christ, Central Square in Keene, NH 03431..
