ELMINA R. LANE
PITTSFIELD, Elmina R. Lane, 94, died March 29, 2001 at a Pittsfield hospital. She was born July 2, 1906, in Stetson, daughter of Alvie and Jessie (Dresser) Brown. She worked for several of the local businesses including Stitham's Cafe, C. Hollis Lane Lumber Co, Berry's Drug Store, and Pittsfield Coal & Oil. She was a member of the Stetson Grange, the Pittsfield Rebekahs and the S&P Club.

She is survived by a brother, Almon Brown of Bangor; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, C. Hollis Lane, two brothers, Claude and Allen and a sister, Leora French.

Friends may call from 1-2 PM Sat at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Newport, where funeral services will follow at 2pm with Pastor Al Worden officiating. Burial will be in the Pittsfield Village Cemetery later this spring. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
