EMILY TUSCAN LATER She worked for the US Postal Service in Greenville for 21 years, retiring in 1986 as Post Master. She served as treasurer for the Shaw Library in Greenville for a few years, and was also a Den Mother and substitute teacher. During WWII she was a plane spotter for SAC, and was a member of the DAR. She was predeceased by her husband, George W. Later in 1985; a brother, Linwood Tuscan; and a sister, Lucile (Tuscan) Schanz. She is survived by 2 sons, Allen Later and his wife, Nancy of Bingham, and Charles Later and his wife, Sharon of Shirley; 4 daughters, Aileen Mendes and her husband, Manuel of Greenville, Jacqueline Lizotte and her husband, Michael of Greenville, Penelope Moody and her husband, Richard of Alaska, Jennifer O'Brien and her husband, Robert of Milo; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a sister, Mary McAllister of Skowhegan.
