EMMA A. CREIGHTON
ETNA and NEWPORT—Emma A. Creighton, 90, died September 13, 2002 at a Bangor hospital. She was born July 19, 1912 at Exeter, a daughter of Howard and Melvina (Rafter) Eaton. She worked at Snowflake Canning Company until it burned, Eastland Woolen Mill, Wyandotte Industries, Guilford Industries in Newport, and lastly, Forest Yarns of East Newport, retiring in 1990. Emma loved her work and her life. She attended the Newport Full Gospel Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved her family, always showing interest in their endeavors and took great pleasure in cooking.

She will be sadly missed by a son and his wife, Robert and Sharon Creighton; a daughter, Sandra Rock, all of Etna; a brother and his wife, Crosby and Lilla Eaton of Corinna; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Sr. in 1978; a daughter, Charlene in 1967; as well as brothers and sisters, Benjamin, Atwood, LaRoy, Etha and Frances. “ If Heaven has a Hall of Fame for Mothers, our mother would be there,” by Daughter and Son.

Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport. Funeral services will be held 10 A.M. Wednesday, September 18th at the Newport Full Gospel Church with the Rev. Carl Engstrom officiating. Burial will be in the family lot, North Newport Cemetery. The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Jean Benson for all her loving care and concern for their mother.
