OBITUARIES
ERNEST R. MARIN
ROCKWOOD AND STANDISH - Ernest R. Marin, 87, died April 24, 2011, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough. He was born April 25, 1923, in Lewiston, son of Saturnne and Edna (Dufour) Marin. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and later worked as a sheet metal worker for many years. He lived in Rockwood for over 30 years and 3 years ago, due to ill health he and his wife moved to Standish, where they made their home with their granddaughter and her husband.
Ernest was a communicant of St. Joseph Mission in Rockwood and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Rowena Marin of Standish; a granddaughter, and her husband, Kathi and Carl Eronsseau and their son, Christopher, all of Standish; 5 nieces and nephews, John Mercier, Richard Marin, Joline McCowan, Michelle Dorch, all of CA, and Clair Conlin of Harpswell; 2 great nephews; 5 great nieces; and 9 great great nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 AM, Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rockwood. A graveside committal service will held on the same day at 2 PM at the Maine Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal, Greenville. For an online guest
