EUGENE M. ROBINSON
GARLAND- Eugene M. Robinson, 72, died September 22, 2011, at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, with his family and his pastor at his side.. He was born January 27, 1939, in Carlingford, New Brunswick, Canada, son of Perley and Myrtle (Henderson) Robinson.

He served in the US Navy and was honorably discharged as a Petty Officer 3rd Class. For most of his life he worked as a carpenter and dairy farmer. Gun collecting was his favorite hobby, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Gene enjoyed spending much of his time volunteering for the New Hope Baptist Church, and Garland Days. He was known for buying flowers for the girls at the credit union and the Garland Store.

He is survived by 2 sons, Krisken Robinson of OH, and SFC Arthur Ward and his wife, Marlene of Bangor; 3 daughters, Regina and her husband, Ethan Fick, Lynda and her husband, Joe Baldwin all of Garland, and Martha Ward of Corinna; 8 grandchildren, Rebecca and her husband, Matt, Ethan, Seth, Nick, David, Sonja and her husband, James, Amanda and her husband, Ron, and Rachel; 7 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Verla, Marline, Gloria, and Connie; 2 brothers, Mike, and Dale; and many nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Tony; special friends, Norris Fillmore, Lloyd Collins, Tommy and Vicki Todd, and Pastor Will Walters and his church family.

He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (Hayden) Robinson; a special friend, Herman Allen; and a sister-in-law, Jeannie Joslyn.

A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, September 26th, from 4 to 7 PM, at the home of Regina Fick, 235 Exeter Road in Garland.

A private graveside service will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Garland.
