OBITUARIES

EVERETT P. UNDERHILL, SR.
STETSON—Everett P. Underhill, Sr. 79, died November 1, 2011 at his residence with his family at his side. He was born November 22, 1931 in Newport, a son of William and Erma (Savage) Underhill. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Corinna Post #73 American Legion for more than 50 years.

Everett was a self-employed cattle dealer. He had been vice president for the Maine Draft Horse and Ox Association and chairman of the State of Maine Pulling Commission.

Everett is survived by his wife of 58 years, Kathleen “Kay” Underhill of Stetson; a daughter, Lois Hawes and husband Wayne of Stetson; 2 sons, Junior Underhill and wife Sheila and Willie Underhill and wife Rhoda, all of Stetson; a brother, Ralph Underhill and wife Nancy of Newport; a sister, Jane Sherry and husband Mike of Stetson; 4 granddaughters, Dennell, Deanna, Terri and Traci; 3 grandsons, Joshua, Chris and Tony; 2 great grandsons, Kyle and Dylan; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Arthur Underhill.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. Friday, November 4th at the Charleston Pentecostal Church, 185 Main Street, Charleston, where funeral services will be held 10 A.M. Saturday with Deacon Dalton Dunfee and the Rev. Matthew Ward officiating. Burial will be in the Clark’s Hill Cemetery, Stetson. Those who wish may leave written tributes at www.CrosbyNeal.com.
