FRANCES A. RICHARDSON
Frances A. Richardson BANGOR, Frances A. Richardson, 91, beloved mother, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 23, 2006. She was born May 6, 1914 in Milo, the daughter of George Albert and Helen Maude Day. She was predeceased by her husband William R. Richardson in 1997. She graduated from Milo High School in 1932 and worked several years on the East coast. During WWII, she worked at Chance Vought Aircraft in Bridgeport, Conn. After the war, she came back to Maine to visit her parents and met her husband Bill who had just returned from the war. They were married at the Dexter Methodist parsonage on April 7, 1946 and made their home in Dexter.

Frances is survived by a son, Paul W. Richardson and wife Marli of Las Vegas, NV; a daughter, Janice E. Gans and husband Herbert of Levant; two sisters, Grace Doble of Dexter and Doris Andrews of Bangor; and a beloved grandson, Jonathan M. Ferreira of Boston, MA. She will be remembered by her other special family members and friends who were very dear to her. Frances, affectionately known as “Berdie”, spent the last few years of her life at Westgate Manor in Bangor. The family wishes to thank Westgate Manor and their caregivers, especially Jodie, for their excellent care and love during her stay.

A celebration of her life will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 29, at the Rock Church, 1195 Ohio Street Bangor, corner of Ohio and Finson Road, officiated by the Rev. Herbert M. Gans and Rev. Kirk Winters. Committal Services will be held 3:30 P.M. Saturday, April 29 in the Ferndale Cemetery, Ripley, Me. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Salvation Army 65 So. Park Street, Bangor, Maine 04401 or to the Bangor Humane Society, 693 B Mt. Hope Avenue, Bangor, Maine 04401. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal, Guilford.
