FRANCES CYR BIGNEY
ROCKWOOD- Frances Cyr Bigney, 84, died July 22, 2010, at Hibbard Nursing Home, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born in Greenville, September 30, 1925, daughter of Leo and Violet (Lamb) Cyr.

Frances graduated from Greenville High School, class of 1944, and from Becker Junior College, class of 1946. She was a long time worker at the Greenville Historical Society, an active member of the Union Evangelical Church in Greenville, and the Rockwood Community Church in Rockwood. A beautiful lady with a great sense of humor, she was well known as a Moosehead Lake historian. Frances was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Frederick H. Bigney.

She is survived by 2 sons, Fritz Bigney and his wife, Nancy, of Dallas, TX, Marc Bigney and his wife, Francine, of Colebrook, NH; a daughter, Nancy McBride, and her husband, Bill, of Orlando, Fl; and 5 grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held 11AM Friday, July 30, 2010 at the Rockwood Community Church with the Rev. Dr. Robert Veon officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery.
