OBITUARIES

FRANCIS E. CROWLEY
CLEARWATER, FLA. Francis E. Crowley, 88, of Clearwater, Fla., died at his residence, Aug. 1, 2002, under the care of Hospice. Born in Greenville, he moved to Florida in 1977 from Augusta. Mr. Crowley was a graduate of Greenville High School, Higgins Classical Institute, and the University of Maine, Class of 1937. He was a mechanical engineer and consulting engineer, retiring as a civil service employee of the state of Maine. Mr. Crowley was Past Master of the Columbia Doric Masonic Lodge No. 149, Greenville; member and Past Patron of the Miriam Chapter No. 40, O.E.S., Dover-Foxcroft; past president and charter member Kiwanis Club of Greenville; life member Kiwanis Club of Augusta; volunteer with local Hospice foundations.

Surviving family includes his wife of 60 years, Ruth L. Levensalor Crowley of Clearwater, Fla.; son, William F. "Bill" Crowley of Farmingdale; granddaughter, Cheryl Skaggs of Colorado; great-grandchildren, Jessica and Tanya Smith.

A memorial funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, at the Hospice House Chapel, Largo, Fla. The family prefers, if you wish, contributions to the Hospice Foundation of the Florida Suncoast, 300 East Bay Drive, Largo, FL 33770-9850.
