FRANK E. SIMONDS, SR.
CORINNA - Frank E. Simonds, Sr., 65, died unexpectedly December 21, 2000 at his Stetson Road residence. He was born May 11, 1935 at Hartland the son of Herbert and Eva (Kimball) Simonds. He attended Corinna schools and served in the U. S. Air Force. Frank retired as a spinner at Eastland Woolen Mills in Corinna. He was a Boy Scout Leader in Stetson for a number of years and enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing. At the time of his death, Frank was a Deacon at Stetson Union Church.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Selinda (Edgecomb) Simonds of Corinna; 3 sons, Frank Simonds, Jr. of Palmyra, Jerry Simonds and Mark Simonds, both of Corinna; 2 daughters, Ginger Penney of Palmyra, and Donna Laurent of Corinna; a brother Bub Simonds of Dexter; 2 sisters, Gladys Bragg of Corinna, and Midge Page of Corinth; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 Aunts, Ferne Frost and Lillian Smith, both of Hartland; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister Hazel.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Tuesday, December 26th, at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport, with the Rev. David Ray officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until the time of services. Spring burial will be in Morses Corner Cemetery, Corinna.
