FREDERICK A. JOHNSON
ROCKWOOD- Frederick A. Johnson, 85, died August 18, 2009, at C.A. Dean Hospital in Greenville. He was born March 14, 1924, in Leeds, son of Frederick and Amy (Knox) Johnson. He served in the U S Navy for 6 years during WWII as a gunner's mate, and was a member of the American Legion. After the service he worked for many years for Textron in Wilmington, Mass.

He enjoyed the outdoors, was an avid hunter, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In recent years he and his wife enjoyed spending their winters in Florida.

He is survived by his wife, Merna (Pettegrow) Johnson of Rockwood; a daughter, Louanne Johnson of Nashua, NH; 2 granddaughters and their husbands, Inga and Kevin Michalewicz of Merrimack, NH, and Melissa and Gerald Talty of Hudson, NH; 4 great grandsons, Jake, Ian, Aaron and Brett.

Memorial services will be held 1 PM, Saturday, August 22, 2009 at the Greenville Chapel of Crosby & Neal, at the Masonic building 281 Pritham Avenue, Greenville, with Pastor Harbour Mitchell III officiating.
