GALEN L. CAMPBELL
He graduated from Guilford High School, class of 1955, and then served in the US Army. He provided for his family by cutting and hauling wood, and later worked at Pride Manufacturing in Guilford until his retirement. He was well known in his younger years for keeping local game wardens on their toes, as he had a passion for hunting and fishing, in season (or not). Galen loved to dance, laugh, and was the life of every party he attended.
He will be deeply missed by his mother, Bertha Turner, and his wife, Jackie Campbell, both of Guilford; daughters, Carrie Cartwright and her partner, Michael, of Augusta, and her children Nathan and Leigh; Penny Pike and her husband, Richard, and their son, Chris, of Abbot; his sons, Randy Campbell and partner, Megan, of Abbot, and Tony Campbell of Guilford and their mother, Peggy Campbell, also of Abbot; brothers, Owen Campbell and his wife, Shirley, of Sangerville, Orman Campbell of Missouri, and Elgin Turner and his wife, Mary, of Connecticut; sisters, Gloria Grant and her husband, Joe, and Regina Jackson and her husband, Gerald, all of Sangerville; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Galen will also be missed by stepchildren, Timmy Larrabee and his wife, Becky, and Paul Giles and his partner, Nancy, all of Milo, and Trudy Brown and her partner, Ronnie, of Sebec, and their families. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Richard and Donald, and a sister, Patricia Waterhouse, as well as his best friend and stepfather, Frank Turner.
