Geneva P. LaFountain She spent her childhood at the family home on Grove Street. She assisted her mother with a hot dog stand, worked in her brother, Bill’s restaurant, and did alterations for Reeds Clothing store. Her favorite job was teaching Culinary Arts at the Dexter Tech Center. She was a beautiful artist and seamstress. She loved the lake, the loons, ducks, and whatever other wildlife landed on her doorstep, especially her therapy cat, Kitty. She was a communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dexter, and was a former member of the Daughters of Isabella, and the Dexter Women's Literary Club. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward in 2004, son, Alan in 2010, and daughter, Carole in 2013. She is survived by her daughter Mary, husband Karl, grandchildren, Jennifer, Ben, Karole (Adam) and Marcus, and great grandchildren, Jerrison, Jordyn, and Lauryn; brother-in-law, Russell Titus, and sister-in-law, Kay Nadeau; several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 A.M., Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Dexter, with the Rev. Fr. Paul Murray officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Hibbard Nursing Home, Special Care Unit, P.O. Box 159, Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426.
