GLENWOOD "BUDDY" ERVIN WHITTEMORE JR
DOVER-FOXCROFT - Glenwood "Buddy" Ervin Whittemore Jr., 56, passed away Aug. 2, 2002, peacefully at his residence in Dover-Foxcroft after years of illness. He was born in Dover-Foxcroft, Oct. 26, 1946, the son of Glenwood Sr. and Dora (Boyce) Whittemore. As a young man, he worked with his father as a logger. He worked several other jobs but trucking was always special to him. He drove with Roger Perkins for several years, but was primarily employed by Jim McInnis as a driver and mechanic. Buddy was a quiet man who was very loving and kind to his family and friends. He will be greatly missed and remembered for his giving nature and good humor. He loved hunting and fast cars. Many hours were spent telling tales of monster bucks and fast rides.
He is survived by a sister, Lorraine Belanger and husband, John of Waterville; a brother, Terry and wife, Cindy of Dover-Foxcroft; seven nephews; three nieces; five great nephews; one great niece; as well as other loving family and special friends.
Friends are invited to call 9 a.m. until time of services, 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, with Pastor Mark Stevens officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in Sebec Corner Cemetery.
