Gloria (Bennett) McFarlin
DETROIT - Gloria (Bennett) McFarlin, 73, formerly of Pittsfield and Newport, died January 29, 2013 at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. She was born January 18, 1940 in Guilford, a daughter of Lloyd and Myla (Foss) Bennett. She had been employed as a spinner in area woolen mills.

She was a member of the Corinna United Methodist Church and the Dexter Health Care Sing-A-Long group.

Gloria is survived by 2 sons and their wives, Robert and Colleen Langley of Clinton and Gordon and Lori Langley of Corinna; 2 daughters and their husbands, Loretta and Paul Shepherd of Newport and Sheila and Mark Monti of Newport; a brother, Stephen and wife Lori Bennett of Guilford; 9 sisters, Marjorie Burnham of Stetson, Joyce Nadeau of PA, Jane Simpson of Guilford, Louise Bennett of St. Albans, Charlene and husband Leroy Corson of Atkinson, Rose Butts and fiancé Neil of Plymouth, Geraldine and husband Merle Beckwith II of Parkman, Brenda and husband Edward Rockwell of New Bern, NC, and Janine and husband Dwayne Vaughn of Peru; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Raymond Langley and her second husband, Stanley McFarlin; and a brother, Donald Bennett.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Friday, February 1st at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport. Friends may call from 10 A.M. until the time of the service. The family would like to thank the staff at Mayo Regional Hospital, especially Dr. Alan Irwin and Dr. Sohaib Siddiqui for their care and concern during Gloria’s time in the hospital.
