GORDON "TOM" THOMPSON
TROY – Gordon J. Thompson, 66, died January 12, 2006 at a Bangor hospital from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was born April 15, 1939 at Stockton Springs, a son of Gordon J. and Charlotte (Clark) Thompson, Sr. He was a graduate of Stockton Springs High School. He was a millwright by trade, having worked at a number of nuclear power plants and paper mills throughout the country. He enjoyed karate and was a member of the Karate Hall of Fame. Tom will also be remembered as a family man, and was especially close to his grand-daughter.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Barbara Jean (Overlock) Thompson, also of Troy; a son, Justin J. D. Thompson of Louisiana; a daughter Erica French of Troy; 3 sisters, Frances Thompson and Charlotte Gross, both of Stockton Springs, Lucille and husband Wayne Gardiner of Searsport; a dear grand-daughter Amanda Jean Ivy French; and a special friend, Fred McGuire and his family.
