GUY HARRY "GUY-BO" LIBBY
PARKMAN Guy Harry “Guy-bo” Libby, 63, died January 5, 2004 at his home in Parkman, after a short illness. Guy was born in Parkman, April 18, 1940, son of Harry and Lydia (Leavitt) Libby. Guy served in the US Army. Guy was a woodsman, truck driver, and did carpentry work. Guy belonged to the Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local #29 of Boston and to the Mt. Kineo Masonic Lodge #109 of Guilford. Guy loved to hunt and fish and loved his morning rides with Ping Kimball and looked forward to playing cribbage with Zeke and Barry Fortier. His favorite thing was to hang out at K-C’s store and bother the girls and shoot the breeze with everyone.

Guy is survived by his wife Diana (Shaw) Libby of Parkman; a daughter, Lori and her husband Stephen Tucker and their daughter Tessa Libby and great-grandson Stephen Libby, all of Solon; a son Charles Libby Sr. and his wife Karen and their children, Cliff, Dan, Jessica, Charles Jr., Krickett-Ann and great granddaughter Sierra, all of Athens. Guy’s brothers and sisters are Wayne Libby of Parkman, Herb Libby of Abbot, Rita Stone of Monson, Bill Libby of Florida, Edna Spencer of Sangerville, and Margie Neal of Abbot. Guy was predeceased by his parents, a brother Arthur Libby, and a close friend, Kenny Curtis. Guy’s grandson, Wayne “Skeeter” Johnston also predeceased him and Guy wants him to know that he is coming up to truly teach him how to fish and help him catch a girl.

There will be a celebration in memory of Guy at 10 AM, Friday, January 9th, 2004 at the Parkman Grange Hall. Please bring your memories, stories, and pictures to share. No flowers please. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Guilford.
