Henry "Hank" C. Prew
NEWPORT—Henry “Hank” C. Prew, 76, died June 3, 2012 at a W. Roxbury, MA, V. A. hospital. He was born September 28, 1935 in Boston, MA, a son of Charles and Virginia (Adrian) Prew. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War.

Hank was an entrepreneur in the Canaan area, which included Canaan Redemption, where he also operated a sub and pizza shop. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Prew of Newport; 2 sons, Gary Prew of Stetson and Barry Prew of Bangor; 2 daughters and their husbands, Tina and Randy Randall of Stetson and Sandy and Wade Wheeler of Palmyra; a sister, Marie Korgan of California; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Tucci.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M., Sunday, June 10th at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, where funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Monday, with Rev. David Ray, Sr. officiating. Military committal services will be held following the funeral at Fairview Cemetery, Canaan. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, John F. Kennedy Chapter # 6, P. O. Box 156, Orrington, ME 04474.
