HOWARD J. CARTER
GUILFORD, Howard J. Carter, 53, died February 3, 2003 at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born February 18, 1949 in Bangor, son of Jarvis and Rita (Cater) Carter. He worked for many years as an auto body mechanic in the central Maine area.

He is survived by a large extended family including a sister and her husband, Bonnie and Ron Bemis of Orland; many close friends including his close friend and helpmate, Joanne Clark of Abbot.

Graveside services will be held in the spring at the Back Ridge Cemetery in Orland. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Guilford.
